Laura Swaffield of CILIP may have conferred a unique honour by reviewing my novel in the March edition of Update despite the fact that it hasn’t been published (the novel that is). Many thanks, Laura, and a warm welcome to any CILIP members who may have come here as a result. I certainly hope you’ll read the opening of the novel either here or on Amazon and let me know what you think by either leaving a comment here or getting in touch with me direct at amrbacon at aol dot com (you know how that bit works).
But I might have to quibble with Laura’s description of me as an ‘ex-librarian’. Once a librarian, always a librarian, I say. I think it’s in the blood (not to mention the fact that I’ve coughed up my CILIP sub yet again!) So here I am as ever was, M.A., MCILIP, to which I might add Graduate of the University of Unpublished Novelists. If you’re in the same league, you’ll know the hard work that entails!
