Hello everyone and sorry it’s been a while. The sad truth is that I have been caught up in a job interview situation which has completely messed with my writing head and taken up all mental space for a good couple of weeks. Having fallen at the final hurdle it now seems like a so much wasted time and I’m sorely in need of finding some inner space in which to recover.
The novel has suffered along with the blog, and that will be my priority for the next few months. It’s been going well – almost 30,000 of what is my current draft done and dusted with a reasonable idea of where I’m going – at least that’s how it was when I last looked!
One bright spot has been my latest read – something I picked up in the library because of its cheerful cover. Waltzing the Cat by Pam Houston turned out to be a great choice. It’s somewhere between a novel and a collection of stories – good for when extended periods of reading are not available – by a quirky narrator with a light (but not silly) touch.
