I hope I’ve already thanked everyone involved in my Bristol book launch of In the Blink of an Eye directly, but after such a brilliant evening I had to put some thoughts and photos in a post. I was thrilled so many friends arrived, from many walks of my life (including those arguably spoiled spoiled by the wielding of golf clubs!) and gratified so many local writers got the chance for a catch-up with cronies. An the sun even shone!
I possibly didn’t thank two writers whose launch ideas I stole – Nina Milton who had a local professor add weight some years ago to her Shaman mysteries, (encouraging me to look for a professor of my own) and Shirley Wright whose launch at Spike Island Cafe handed me my venue on a plate.
So here is the official record:
A full, house, some yummy photo-history and of course two short readings from the book.

Brisk sales but not so brisk writing – more practice required!
Did I mention our other baby?
Just to cap the celebrations our new grandson waited a few days more before making his appearance. Clearly he didn’t want to steal my thunder. Or I his.
Welcome to the world Max Bacon. Just too late for the launch of In the Blink of an Eye. Maybe he’ll make it to the next one.
