It’s not often that golf and writing are both going well, and so I’m particularly aggrieved that overenthusuiastic pursuit of one or the other (possibly both) has resulted in a mysteriously painful shoulder. This means I’m confined to barracks and restricted to a maximum of 30 mins typing at a go until things get better. Ironically I had already signed up for a training session in Alexander Technique on Tuesday, so maybe relief will come soon – if I’m able to get there!
One bright spot in a dull and cold week is the news that one of our Bristol Women Writers has won a major poetry competition. So well done to Shirley, and hope to have more to report after her big night out with Mr. Motion himself! Passing poets will be able to read her poem in the Sunday Telegraph of 16th November.
The Alexander Technique helped me with my swing – and with my sore back. Good luck with your lesson.
They have a wonderful website for anyone wanting to learn more about it: http://alexandertechnique.com
