Ten random facts is the challenge in a game of blogging tag, and this time I’m it. Hmm, random. Would that be interesting? Or just random? I shall leave you to judge. Thanks to Rosalind Adam for tagging me.
Depsite the ‘random’ challenge, I couldn’t resist trying my hand at a little classification. I’m a bit rusty, but here is the Dewey Decimal guide to me.

200- Religion
The church in which I was married burned down a few months later and was never rebuilt. (The records were saved!)
340 – Law
In the 70s, two friends and I were banned from entering Switzerland for
6 months. (P.S. Drugs were not involved!)
611– Anatomy
I have never broken anything bone-wise. Touch wood. Nor has any of my family.
(As for teeth – too numerous to mention)
664- Food technology
I don’t like tea. I am not very good at making tea. If you come to call, choose
coffee.
770- Photography
While working as a trainee in the Bodleian Library, I unearthed some long lost photographs by a master (or mistress) of photography.
796- Sport
I had my first golf clubs when I was ten. They came from the golf club factory
at the end of our road.
820– English Literature
My sister reviews books for New Books magazine (okay that’s not me, but hope it’s allowed under degrees of separation rules?)
910– Geography
I live on a new(ish) estate. From the main road to our house there are 13 speed
bumps.
942– British History
I was born on the day of the Queen’s coronation and had my picture in the local paper that week with a dozen others who came into the world at the same time. In fame terms, I may have peaked too early.
o2o – Library science
Is my erstwhile profession. Guilty as charged.

I know I tried to teach DDC to teenagers and some of them even enjoyed it, but these days all they want to do is a google type search.

I love you’ve done your list in honour of the Dewey classification system, I doubt I could remember much about it now, but funny that it should be mostly second nature when you’re working in libraries day in and day out. I’m ever so slightly curious as to your journey-that-never-was into Swiss territory!
