The last week or two havbe been hectic – and that was before our trip to NYC (photos coming soon!) But I’m delighted to report that the lovely Thornberry Publishing will now be publishing Kettle on – tada! –
! 23rd October 2012 !
and to mark this announcement I have tarted up my banner and revealed the final cover design. I particularly like the print version (which I hope to get out soon after the Kindle edition) as it looks so much like a real book. (Note to self, it is a real book – almost!)
Working with a graphic designer to reach the final design has been a fascinating process which I might go into in more detail sometime, but for now I shall allow you (and me) just to admire the end result.
While I was away a few other things have occurred. First of all thanks to Mark for last week’s post and secondly to the indefatigable Carol Wyer, my Thornberry stablemate (sorry, not a good image!) for tagging me in the Next Big Thing round of blog posts for which I already have a cunning plan. Carol is being published on Oct 8th and may well turn up here on the day.
Also on the horizon is a visit from fellow member of Bristol Women Writers Jean Burnett whose Who Needs Mr. Darcy has just been publshed by Little Brown (and already reviewed on Novelicious) ) . Can’t wait for the launch party at the gorgeous Toppings of Bath later in October.
An exciting month ahead! I shall of course, be indulging in some trumpet-blowing around a number of blogs for which I hope, in the circumstances, I’ll be forgiven. Thanks to those who have already ‘booked’ dates and let me know if you would like to host me. I intend to pace myself- any time from November until Christmas – and beyond!
Whoop, Ali, congratulations! Fabulous cover! Blue is my favourite colour (apart from purple) and a seamotif is a winner with me. Good luck in the build up to publication day and I look forward to hosting you on CentreStage on October 10 (or later, if you prefer?). Rock on!XX
